A third world’s citizen rogue view as to why Trump lost the 2020 election that seemed a sure landslide!

Trump talking to reporters.

When the U.S. has presidential elections, the rest of us foreigners, sit and watch the democracy or the illusion of it of this bra shaped superpower unfold. The 2020 elections were unlike any other in history, due to the candidate who held the office since 2016 Donald John Trump. For four years, Trump run his whirlwind presidency like no other US president has ever done. The orange man was rude, funny, brash, loveable, narcissistic, kind, bigot, charming, polite, whimsical, impulsive, generous, reckless, patriotic, and caring, depending on which American was describing him.

During the Democratic Party primaries I wondered who among the imploding and dull candidates would stop the Trump or even have a chance. Frankly, I didn’t see any man or woman (pardon my pronouns wokes, I’m a gender traditionalist), having the ability to stop Trump. The Democratic Party debates were dreary and participants seemed like they were setting themselves and the party on fire. It seemed the party of FDR and John F Kennedy was standing outside a crematorium waiting for its ashes, to be ready and to be scattered over the Atlantic Ocean, as Trump took the oath for four more years.

Enter Joe Biden the masked man with the broom to sweep Trump

Then enter teleprompter Joe Biden, the dashing, dazed, handsy, descapacito heartthrob, octogenarian, hair sniffer, hairy legged, gaffe machine, speech plagiarist, inadvertent liar and DC veteran politician won the nomination. I thought the Democratic Party has tied the noose, and is just looking for a strong tree to hang itself to obscurity. Alas I was wrong; Joe Biden reinvented himself as a man for the Karen times, hell-bent on bringing change from strife Trump’s America first harsh grandiloquence had created. Come November 4th I was sure a bigly Trump landslide was in the offing I was terribly wrong. Never has the voices of the angry many, been owed to the incoherence of a solitary almost octogenarian -Joe Biden.
